06/06/2003: "Old People"

Old people are like short people, except that there are many more of them, and we know we're all going to join their ranks. We love our parents but they have some eccentricities which, at least for now, we can see clearly. We also love Danny Devito but that doesn't slow us down when the song Short People gets some air time. Try these lyrics (click more..) to the tune of Short People.

Old People

Old People got no reason
Old People got no reason
Old People got no reason
To live

They got shaky hands
Rheumy eyes
They limp around
Spoutin' great big lies
They got real long noses
And artificial teeth
They wear high top shoes
On their achin feet

Old People are just the same
As you and I
(Yeah, we'll all be Old)
All men are brothers
Until the day they die
(It's A Cranky Old World)

Old People got nobody
Old People got nobody
Old People got nobody
To love

They got bend over backs
That stand so low
You got to pull 'em up
Just to say hello
They got great big cars
That go so slow
They got attitude
'Cause there's nothing they don't know
They got knotted fingers
And barely present minds
They're gonna get you every time
Well, I don't want no Old People
Don't want no Old People
Don't want no Old People
'Round here
