01/12/2004: "Skin Update"
The link on your right, "This Week's Skin," is a feature intended to be enjoyed online, or as a downloaded background (wallpaper) for your windows desktop. Click more.. below.
If you click the link and like what you see well enough to use it as a background, then simply download it as a zip file, unzip it, convert it to a BMP, and you're off to the races. Please note; when you unzip the downloaded file and open it, you will have an uncompressed a .JPG file. If you save it as a .BMP then and there, you're okay. But if you don't, whatever you do, don't resave the file as a .JPG; just close it without saving, or you'll lose the quality of the image due to recompression. The images you'll download from "This Week's Skin" are high-quality, 24-bit color, and sized to 800 by 600 resolution. If you don't screw them up, they will easily stretch to 1024 by 768 when used as a background without any apparent loss of quality. Enjoy.
