01/26/2004: "Antichrist"

I have always seen Bill Clinton as the Antichrist (a little overcooked, maybe), and the tenure of George W. speaks for itself, so now I'm wondering, gee, what's next? Will Americans wake up and smell the coffee? The two-party system no longer serves our interests when our choice of leaders always seems to be: a - bad, or b - worse. Why not give somebody else a chance. How about a political party, just for fun, with a platform that's fiscally responsible without that partys having ties to the religious right. What, you can't...? Click more.. below.

Come on guys, this is such a con. Do you really think that everyone who can add and subtract is somehow naturally anti-abortion and pro capital punishment? And liberals? There are no liberals anymore, just people with big mouths pushing their own very narrow cause down everyone else's throat. Gays get out of bed, like everybody else, and may want to ride public transit. Ethnics of all flavors want their slice of americana, but they also need a healthy economy or the slice they win may be flavorless. We all have "special interests," but we also all have common basic needs and expectations that are not being met.

The real problem is that, with our two party system, too many deals have to be struck with too few players. How do "the boys" deal with that? They blow smoke. So much smoke that even they can't see what they're doing. You don't know what you voting for, and "the boys" can't remember who they went to bed with. My advice is to find a "third party", any third party, and push it. Let's create, "bullshit canceled due to lack of interest." It's past due.

My ideal third party ticket, by the way, would be Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dennis Miller. You can see them together tonight at 8 PM on CNBC. Can you imagine how refreshing it would be to "get hosed" by a government that was at least capable of showing you a good time first?
