05/07/2004: "Stop Sex"

The "moral right" wants to stop teenagers from having sex. Sure, no problem, just require a doctor's prescription, and, for good measure, how about a prohibitively expensive tax stamp? Sure, that'll work, right?

The Bush administration is being widely accused of putting politics before reason in rejecting over-the-counter sales of morning-after birth control. The FDA cited concern about young teenagers' use of emergency contraception without a doctor's guidance - overruling the agency's own scientific advisers, who had overwhelmingly backed easier access to the morning-after drug as a safe way to prevent thousands of abortions. Wait, is the "right" wrong? Don't they want to stop the murder of the unborn by godless teenage fornicators? Click more.. below.

No, the moral right doesn't want to stop the murder of the unborn any more than they want to pay for them, through social programs, if they are not murdered. Well, what the hell do they want? I'm glad you asked.

They, the moral right, think the same way you do after you have sex, but they think that way all the time. In short, these people are extremists with no sex drive and very big mouths, who want you to see the world as they see it or pay the price. They aren't bad people, just very different, mean, narrow-minded, and, more than anything, intolerant. The same thing exists on the lunatic fringe of the left. Our problem is how to stop being pushed around by a political system driven by nuts from the extremes of both sides with too much media coverage and, apparently, nothing else to do.

I think I'll break out my $6 pack of smokes (thanks to nuts on the left), and piss away $50 worth of gas (thanks to nuts on the right) taking a drive and maybe get my head straight.
